Who are we?

We are…

The effort of a scholar from Luton

The determination of a mother

We are the result of your support and duas, an organization dedicated to helping orphans and

the needy globally.

A collection of true stories based on our experience and written by us. Order a copy for £5 and your £5 will help those in need.

Disheartened by witnessing the plight of the children when travelling abroad, we were determined to help and make a change. The gratitude and humbleness showed by the children we met over the years was truly amazing. Motivated by our experiences and driven by the wish to help even one child if possible, further encouraged by the sacred journey we made to Filistine, Our Children Our Ummah was founded in February 2013.

Our aim was to support orphans and the needy, and at the same time use Our Children Our Ummah as platform to unite, educate, and bring awareness to the elders and youth of today. We wanted to give everyone the opportunity to help a orphan regardless of their income level.

Alhamdulillah, we continue to grow at a rapid pace. By the grace of Allah swt and with your duas, we are now working on projects in more then five different countries. This is achieved by communicating and reaching out to individuals and groups from all walks of life regardless of their race, religion, culture or status. Alhamdulillah, our volunteers and sponsors also make endless effort by offering their services and time.

Funds and Security

Our children Our Ummah is managed under the guidance of scholars, and the funds donated to OCOU is monitored by minimum of three trustees. The administration cost of running the organisation is raised separately from individuals and business sponsors.

At your request, we are happy to provide you with a transparent audit trail for the donation you make to OCOU. We also ensure that we take the steps needed to protect the privacy of all individuals involved.

Furthermore, Our Children Our Ummah works only with organisations that meet certain criteria. The criteria set by OCOU helps us monitor the funds, the projects, and enables us to deliver your donation according to Islamic Guidelines.

Please remember us in your duas and inshaAllah, let us unite and support Our Children Our Ummah!

Ramadhan Appeal for Orphans

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

The likeness of those who spend for Allah’s sake is as the likeness of a grain of corn, it grows seven ears every single ear has a hundred grains, and Allah multiplies (increases the reward of) for whom He wills, and Allah is sufficient for His creatures’ needs, All-Knower).

(Qur’an, 2:261)
